Denmark will allocate more than $8 million to fight corruption in Ukraine

The head of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lars Lekke Rasmussen, in talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba, announced the allocation of 60 million crowns ($8.75 million) as part of the third phase of the EU’s anti-corruption program in Ukraine. “If Ukraine is to achieve its EU dream, it is vital that we help it achieve its goals,” says Rasmussen.

In the statement, it is stated that the European Union has allocated over 70 million crowns ($10.21 million) to the new phase of the program.

According to the EU, financial aid will be used for the restoration of the Ukrainian city of Nikolaev.

Shortly before this, the Danish Ministry of Defense donated Ukraine received 91 million crowns ($13.26 million) to strengthen cybersecurity.

Previously Denmark and Czech Republic signed Memorandum of understanding in the field of cooperation in providing assistance to Ukraine.
