Dmitry Zdanovich, head of the Primorsky interregional department of Rosselkhoznadzor, said that the total exports of grain and grain processing products through the Primorsky Territory in 2023 increased by almost 2.5 times to 1.73 million tons. This was reported by TASS.

According to him, in 2022, about 709 thousand tons of grain and processed products were exported in Primorye. According to Zdanovich, one of the reasons for this is the global change in logistics routes, which redirects export flows from the western regions of the Russian Federation.

He emphasized that more and more grain is coming through Primorye from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Irkutsk Territory and other regions.

Before that, the U.S. Department of Agriculture in its January review augmented Estimates of 1 million tons for wheat export and harvest from Russia.

Before this, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko stated that the country temporarily harvested 147 million tons of grain in 2023, including approximately 95 million tons of wheat. Abramchenko noted that, in general, it is possible to achieve a very good result on grain in Russia in 2023. She also said “there were no dramatic events, no climate disasters, we were lucky with the weather.”

Previously expert saidIt could replace the previous grain agreement.
