Russians received 75.3 thousand mortgages from Sberbank before the New Year and during the New Year holidays, the bank’s press service reported.
According to the Domklik service, Sber issued housing loans totaling 276.6 billion rubles from December 15, 2023 to January 8, 2024. While a total of 48 thousand loans were provided within the scope of state-supported programs, the most preferred preferential programs were “Family Mortgage” (21.7 thousand) and “Government Support” (21.5 thousand).
Analysts also noted that the “Family Mortgage” ranked first in popularity for the first time since April 2023, when the conditions for obtaining it expanded.
Additionally, Domklik analysts added that the new Arctic Mortgage program has surpassed the Far East Mortgage program in demand.
“The largest number of mortgage loans under both basic and preferential programs were issued in the Moscow region – 6.1 thousand, and Moscow – 4.8 thousand. It also ranked in the top five in terms of the number of issuances issued in the two weeks before the New Year and on holidays. Krasnodar Territory – 4 .6 thousand, St. Petersburg – 3.7 thousand and Tyumen region – 3 thousand,” said Alexey Leipi, director of Sberbank’s Domklik division.
