EU promises to monitor compliance with anti-Russian sanctions 00:55

The EC is monitoring compliance with anti-Russian sanctions, the official representative of the European Commission, Daniel Sheridan Ferry, said during a briefing in Brussels. This was reported by Interfax.

“We are not stopping our efforts to ensure that there is no export of ammunition or goods (to Russia – socialbites.ca) to places of hostilities,” Ferry said.

According to him, the facts about the circumvention of anti-Russian sanctions in the European Union are known, and the European Commission is working around the clock to prevent such situations.

Peter Stano, the official representative of the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell, said that the EU sees the possible supply of North Korean weapons to Russia as “a violation of UN resolutions and sanctions imposed by the UN”.

“We take this very seriously and are discussing it with our European partners and in the EU,” Stano emphasized.

He added that the European Union strongly condemns North Korea’s arms sales to Russia.
