For 11 months of 2023, Ukraine’s foreign trade deficit exceeded 34 billion dollars. Verkhovna Rada deputy Daniil Getmantsev reported this on his Telegram channel.
“In the 11 months of last year (…) the foreign trade deficit was 34.1 billion dollars, of which 25.7 billion dollars were goods and 8.4 billion dollars were services,” the MP wrote.
According to Getmantsev, Europe has become the main direction of trade for Ukraine (65% in exports, 52% in imports, a deficit of $ 9.1 billion). The trade deficit with Asian countries exceeded 11.5 billion dollars, 2/3 of which belongs to China.
Ukraine’s trade balance with Africa (+0.9 billion dollars) and CIS countries (+0.4 billion dollars) was positive.
