Almost 29% of Russians traditionally make repairs before the New Year, spending up to 200 thousand rubles on this. This is stated in a study by the online hypermarket “VseInstrumenty.ru”, taken by the editors of socialbites.ca.
It turns out that very often before the New Year, Russian residents change furniture and household appliances, update the decoration of the room. They also do cosmetic repairs and replace windows and doors.
According to survey respondents, the main reason for renovations during the holidays is lack of time during the year. Many people also think it’s wise to start the year with a “clean slate.”
As a result, more than half of the respondents spent from 170 to 200 thousand rubles on repairs. 21% – up to 50 thousand rubles. At the same time, 70% of respondents stated that they were able to save on construction materials compared to the planned budget.
However, 29% of Russians note that due to winter repairs, they often do not have time to complete all planned work by the New Year. More than 1.5 thousand Russians from all regions of the country participated in the survey.
