Moldova decided to take a loan of 165 million euros for the purchase of gas. It was reported that the relevant agreement was approved by the parliament of the republic TASS.

The money to be given to Moldova will be allocated by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The statement said, “MPs approved the agreement regarding loans and grants within the framework of the Energy Security project.”

In addition, the Norwegian government plans to allocate a grant of 34 million Euros to Moldova for these purposes.

On December 17, the Moldovan government nationalizes Oil and gas fields in the villages in the south of the republic.

On December 4, Moldovan Energy Minister Viktor Parlikov said that the republic have Sufficient gas reserves to ensure an uninterrupted heating season until the end of February 2024.

Formerly Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Moldova does not comply with gas agreements from 2021.
