The US has extended the license that allows it to transact with sanctioned Russian bank Expobank. It will now be valid until March 21, 2024, according to the license published by the United States Department of Treasury.
“All transactions prohibited by Executive Order 14024… are permitted until March 21, 2024,” the document states.
December 12 US Treasury reported Expobank about the imposition of sanctions against the gold mining company Highland Gold and its owner Vladislav Sviblov, as well as a number of industrial enterprises.
Before that, the US Treasury once again expanded its list of anti-Russian sanctions, including Ak Bars and Sinco-Bank banks, as well as the AvtoVAZ, Sollers and Moskvich factories created in Moscow after Renault left Russia. As the American department noted, people on the blacklist are either associated with the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation or are involved in the supply chains of certain goods to the country.
