The ship sailed from Odessa’s Yuzhny port under the Liberian flag with wheat grain. It was noted that the ship’s captain sent a distress signal after the mine exploded, but the ship was not damaged. The mine itself was anti-personnel and exploded 100 meters from the cargo ship, according to the publication.
