Experts from Rosneft scientific institutes in Tomsk and Tyumen have developed a concept for intelligent development of gas and gas condensate fields. This was reported on the company’s website.
It is stated that the project involves the creation of an automatic production management system based on a “digital twin”.
“Prototypes of the software modules have already passed the first successful tests on the company’s simulator stands that accurately simulate physical processes in existing oil and gas fields,” the statement said.
According to the company’s statement, the presentation of the project took place as part of a scientific and technical conference on advanced technologies for the development of oil, gas and gas condensate fields. This year the Rosneft event brought together more than 250 representatives from the scientific community, mining and service companies, engineering centers, manufacturers of technologies and equipment for the fuel and energy complex. The conference was traditionally organized by the Rosneft Corporate Institute in Tomsk.
Conference participants discussed advanced developments in the field of information modeling, design, construction and operation of production facilities, development of technology for digital twins of existing spaces and implementation of mobile infrastructure solutions.
Also at the Russia exhibition and forum in the Rosneft pavilion you can see the work of a digital twin of a field in Bashkiria and feel like an oil field operator. Visitors will be able to remotely monitor the main technological parameters of the oil field and manage the production process using the field control center.
