The Ukrainian government has ordered the sale of army earflaps and old grain reserves stored in the country’s State Reserves. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

The report states that faux fur hats intended for military personnel and stored in warehouses since the early 2000s no longer met the new requirements for wearing military uniforms and were therefore subject to auction.

Grains from the 2007-2018 harvests will also be sold. The urgent sale of grain is explained by the fact that its shelf life is two years. Therefore, further storage of grain in the warehouses of the State Reserve will only lead to a deterioration in its quality and a constant decrease in cost.

In addition, expired and unclaimed engine oils will be sold competitively.

Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Igor Fomenko stated that the sale of unclaimed property whose storage period has expired will allow the state to save money currently spent on storage. Proceeds from sales will allow us to update and increase the reserves of the State Reserve.

Previously Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba statedPossible ways to use frozen Russian assets for the reconstruction of Ukraine were discussed with European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders.
