Ministry of Finance announced the 10-month budget deficit 18:04

According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Finance, the deficit of the consolidated budget of the Russian Federation in January-October 2022 amounted to 1.235 trillion rubles or 0.7% of GDP. In this respect reported on the ministry’s website.

For 10 months, budget expenditures exceeded revenues by 1.235 trillion rubles, amounting to 24.3 trillion rubles against 23.1 trillion revenues. At the same time, the federal budget posted a surplus in October. Compared to the same period in 2021, revenues increased by 4.4% and expenses increased by 11.7%. Oil and gas revenues decreased, but non-oil and gas revenues increased by 28.7% to 15.8 trillion.

The deficit in the 2023 budget is planned to be 2.9 trillion rubles. According to the Ministry of Finance’s estimates, the deficit will continue in the next three years but will not exceed 1 percent of GDP.
