Iran’s Ambassador to Belarus Alireza Sanei said that Minsk and Tehran agreed to supply 400 thousand tons of potassium fertilizer from Belarus to Iran. This was reported by TASS.
According to him, the parties reached a very successful agreement.
The diplomat emphasized that the companies of the two countries are in good cooperation and have held various meetings on the supply of medical supplies and medicines.
Sanei emphasized that the Belarusian side agreed that Minsk should offer Iran opportunities to become a hub for access to other markets and third countries.
Before that, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Leonid Zayats statedthat the republic plans to purchase up to 500 thousand tons of grain from Russia in 2023.
According to Zayets, if last year about 4.2 million tons of grain were allocated to public animal husbandry, this year the volume of production will be increased to 5.9 million tons, the remaining up to 500 thousand tons will be purchased from Russia.
