The National Bank of Ukraine predicts a decrease in international aid to Kiev

The National Bank of Ukraine has predicted that international aid to Kiev will drop to $38.5 billion and $25 billion in 2024 and 2025, respectively. This is evidenced by the financial regulator’s October inflation report.

“International financing in 2024-2025 <…> “will decrease,” the analytical summary says.

According to estimates, the volume of financial assistance to be allocated to Ukraine by foreign countries in 2023 will exceed 45 billion dollars.

According to the Ukrainian financial regulator, significant external financial support will provide a net inflow of foreign currency to the republic, but the deficit will still remain.

The report also noted that Ukraine’s public debt is expected to increase and its ratio to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to rise above 95% of GDP in 2024-2025.
