Western business wants to revive Russian gas imports. This was reported by TASS Gazprom President Alexey Miller in St. referring to his remarks at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
According to him, they are aware that they do not produce enough gas to meet the increasing demand. “Western countries have traditionally consumed more gas than they ever produced, produced, or will produce. They cannot reverse this trend,” Miller emphasized. Earlier at the forum, the head of Gazprom said the gas market for the West would remain “tight” in the coming years due to rising demand.
According to him, there is now a rapid transformation in the global gas market, and he calls this a deformation in the relations between gas suppliers and consumers. As a result, the global gas market has become extremely volatile and unstable. However, Miller concluded that demand for gas will increase.
