Before that, during the meeting, Putin had demanded that the Russian government immediately respond to rising poultry meat prices through purchases from countries friendly to Russia. These words were a comment on the answer of the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev to the question about the reasons for the 27 percent increase in the cost of chicken in 2023.
