The Finnish Ministry of Defense banned three transactions for the purchase of real estate by citizens of the Russian Federation and a company affiliated with the Russian Federation. This has been reported Web site military department.
As the report notes, on October 17, the Finnish Ministry of Defense “made three negative decisions on allowing buyers who are not citizens of the European Union and the European Economic Area to purchase real estate.” The negative decisions, signed by Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen, apply to two properties in Ruokolahti and one in Kitea.
The Ministry clarified that one of the real estate transactions in Ruokolahti was carried out by a private person, the other was carried out by a company, and the transaction in Kitea was carried out by a private person.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the individuals and actual beneficiaries of the company are citizens of Russia.
