Many businesses of Ukrainian citizens in the Zaporozhye region have been transferred to investors and now operate within the legal framework of Russia. This was reported by RIA News Deputy Prime Minister of the regional government Andrey Kozenko.
According to him, the owners of these facilities, which mostly finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine, abandoned their property and employees.
Then there are investors who take on social obligations and responsibility for people’s well-being, preserving and increasing jobs and restoring production, Kozenko said.
He added that currently companies operate absolutely legally in the Zaporozhye region and within the legal framework of Russia.
The Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions became part of the Russian Federation following the results of the referendum held in September 2022. Martial law has been declared in the above regions since October 20.
