European Union Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski expressed surprise that Ukraine tried to resolve its dispute with three EU border countries by filing a complaint with the World Trade Organization (WTO). RIA News.

Wojciechowski noted that the European Commission has special structures to resolve such situations. Therefore, he was surprised by the path taken by Kiev regarding conflict resolution.
The European Commissioner emphasized that the “friendly solution” was better than the court process and noted that Poland, Hungary and Slovakia had previously done a lot to export Ukrainian agricultural products.
