Seoul signed an agreement with Kiev to provide low-interest state loans for the restoration of Ukraine. This was reported by RIA News.
According to the agency, the preliminary agreement was signed by South Korean Finance Minister Chu Kyung-ho and Ukrainian Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko. The funds will be allocated from the South Korean government’s Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF).
“On September 13, the government officially signed the Agreement on State Loans between the Governments of South Korea and the Governments of Ukraine,” the ministry said in a statement.
Before this, US President Joe Biden appointed billionaire and former Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker as the representative of Ukraine’s restoration.
Pritzker was chosen for his “deep personal ties to Ukraine and the Ukrainian diaspora” and his extensive experience as a special envoy.
