According to the press service of the bank, PSB opened a street basketball center in Kemerovo, which is the second in Kuzbass and the thirteenth in Russia as part of the First All-Russian Sports Project “PSB for Children”.
“By realizing and supporting large-scale sports initiatives in every region of our country, we are trying to pass on the conscious attitude towards human health and the love of sports to future generations. In the four years since its launch, our PSB for kids project has brought together hundreds of thousands of children, teenagers and adult sports fans to surpass themselves, win and develop character,” PSB President Petr Fradkov said at the opening ceremony.
According to him, the PSB playground for children, opened a year ago in Novokuznetsk, has hosted dozens of sports events of various levels and has become a favorite place for residents of the region for active recreation and training of professional athletes.
“I am sure that with the opening of the street basketball center in Kemerovo, more sports events will be held in the city and more children and adults will be able to be proud of their achievements in sports and life,” said Fradkov.
It was noted that the new street basketball center consists of 3×3 and 5×5 basketball courts with universal markings and fan stands. There is also a gymnasium with outdoor exercise equipment in the sports facility. At the same time, access to the site is open to everyone. From sports fans of all ages to professional athletes, close to 250,000 people can visit the center annually.
“The creation of conditions for sports activities, the construction of sports facilities and fields is one of the main directions of the work of the Kuzbass team. We are working to make quality sports infrastructure available to all residents. I am sure that the site built as part of the PSB project for children will be another center of attraction for everyone who does sports and leads an active lifestyle,” said Sergey Tsivilev, Governor of Kemerovo Region.
At the end of the opening ceremony of the street basketball center, the all-Russian street basketball competition “Orange Ball” began.
Recall that the PSB project for children has been implemented by the bank since 2019 with the support of the Russian Basketball Federation (RBF) and regions.
