The Yandex Market service team made sure that the unique content of the sellers was not used by the competitors. From August 15, photos of the goods in the interior, a video review, the name and description of the shops themselves, the service will be included only in the offers of the authors of the relevant materials. Offers from other stores will not be embedded in such content.
Marketplace sellers believe this solution will help them differentiate their offerings from competitors and give customers more information about the product.
Now products of popular brands are combined into one card in Yandex Market. This makes it easy for buyers to choose the appropriate option from several offers of the same product from different vendors.
Also, the company said that Yandex Market will now separately display the store’s rating, user reviews and ratings for a particular seller’s goods.
For example, if you order a washing machine and leave your opinion on it, the service will associate it with the offer of the relevant seller. Yandex Market explained that in this way, the store will have its own reviews and product ratings, and that buyers will not be affected by the points that the same products are procured from other sellers.
If the seller’s offer turns out to be more profitable than its competitors, the marketplace will show its unique content on the product card by default. And other sellers’ content can be viewed by clicking on their offers.
When promoting a product in Yandex Market and on the store page, the service also displays the content that the store itself has added.
The company also said that in the near future, the e-commerce platform will offer merchants additional places to use their content.
