Ukrenergo said that Ukraine requested urgent electricity supply from Romania to close the gap during peak energy consumption hours. The ministry announced this on its Telegram channel.
According to the agency, between 20:00 and 23:00 on June 7, the Ukrainian energy system received emergency assistance from the Romanian energy system. Ukrenergo added that there were no imports and exports during these hours.

On the morning of May 31, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that about 2 million people were left without electricity due to a fault in the energy system. The outage was caused by an emergency at the power system operator that occurred on the afternoon of May 30.
Later, the ministry said that some consumers in Ukraine’s Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions, as well as the Kiev-controlled regions of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, are deprived of energy supplies.
