The Russian construction industry has gained a new impetus to develop and increase its influence in the country’s economy. Vera Podguzova, PSB’s Senior Vice President for Foreign Affairs, stated this at the opening of the Movement real estate forum, which took place in Sochi from 30 May to 2 June.
“This year the agenda of the forum is more relevant than ever: the Russian construction market faced a number of challenges, which also opened up new opportunities. The growth in housing and infrastructure construction gives a new impetus to the development of the construction sector, increasing its importance in the economy.
He emphasized that as one of the country’s systemically important banks, PSB is ready to support promising projects in the fields of construction and development. Also at the plenary session of the forum “Present and Future of Russian Development”, the senior executive noted that the trend of increasing demand for military mortgages is clear. “From the beginning of 2023, we see 10 percent growth in our portfolio and demand for military mortgages will continue over the next five years,” the bank spokesperson said.
According to him, PSB sets new service standards in military mortgages. Thus, the bank became the first to offer digital services for real estate transactions, stimulating the volume of mortgage lending to military personnel. At the same time, a service was launched last year that allows military mortgage transactions to be carried out completely digitally. As a result, the maturity of the military mortgage transaction decreased by about 7 times.
“This means that the military literally has the opportunity to take a mortgage without leaving the place of service. At the same time, all digital services implemented by the bank ensure complete information protection and transaction security.”
He emphasized that the provision of affordable housing for defense industry professionals, the development of long-term motivational programs and social guarantees are PSB investments in human capital.
“The main goal of our residential construction program for defense industry workers is to increase housing availability for Russian engineering personnel. Joint participation of the employer – the defense industry enterprise, the bank and the contractor in the project can significantly reduce the cost of housing construction, so that the employees of the enterprise get the opportunity to buy a discounted apartment at a significantly lower price. market price,” Podguzova concluded.
