Sberbank and Havana Science and Technology Park (3CE) signed a cooperation agreement in the field of artificial intelligence within the framework of the 20th meeting of the Russia-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. This was reported by the press service of Sberbank.
It was noted that the document was signed in the presence of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Russian Federation Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
As emphasized by Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, the signed agreement creates new opportunities for cooperation between Russia and Cuba in the field of science and technology.
“It also helps strengthen economic ties between countries. Artificial intelligence is one of the strongest drivers for the development of the modern economy. We are ready to provide Cuban experts with the necessary knowledge and experience to develop this industry for the benefit of the whole society.”
As clarified at Sberbank, the purpose of the memorandum is the development of bilateral cooperation in the development and implementation of artificial intelligence technologies and the exchange of experience in the development of legal and ethical regulations.
At the same time, the parties expressed their confidence in the great prospects for new cooperation and emphasized the importance of developing historical ties between Russia and Cuba, including in the field of new technologies.
In addition, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel was shown the capabilities of Sber’s artificial intelligence technologies in the field of ecology and agriculture, and the projects implemented to introduce technologies to various areas of life.
