Business ombudsman says three Russian banks are planning to open branches in Cuba 07:30

Several Russian banks planned to open branches in Cuba, and three applied to the Central Bank of the Republic. In this respect Wrote TASS agency referred to the statement made by the head of the Russia-Cuba Council, Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights, Boris Titov, during the Russian Presidency.

“The Cuban side has confirmed that it is interested in registering branches of Russian banks. “The Cuban Central Bank already has three applications from Russian banks,” he said.

In addition, Havana and Moscow plan to create joint credit institutions to finance small and medium-sized businesses on the island. According to Titov, the number of entrepreneurs in Cuba is increasing and they need their own professional banks.
