In some regions of Russia, the velvet season has barely faded, while others are already hardest hit by the first snow showers. Nevertheless, a motorist in every nook and cranny of the country is now worried about one question: when to change tires? We agree that, besides geography, there are many more factors that influence the answer: the type of tires (Velcro or spikes), driving time, individual skills, ultimately …
And yet, if in a big way? With a question, in good tradition, we turned to the subscribers of “Behind the wheel” in Viber. And this is what our readers have to say.
About 2% (76 out of 3,832 respondents) said they do not use personal vehicles at all in the winter and that it is not worth changing tires for them. About the same number (98 people) also don’t change tires, as they use all-season tires all year round. Another group of our readers – 120 people, about 3% – prefer not to rush and wait for the lines at the tire shops to disappear.

But of course there are more popular opinions. For example, about 9% (350 people) take a principled position and believe that the sooner you change your shoes for winter, the better. Another 10% (355 people) believe that the tires should be changed after the first snow. And most respondents – 2833 people, 74% – change shoes at the first frost.
