You will be surprised, but the largest volume of payments in the field of car insurance is received by … cyclists – Rosgosstrakh has calculated everything.

The company’s analysts took the number of claims from cyclists after car accidents and compared the amount of payments to payments to car owners.

The largest payment this year was received by a cyclist from the Chelyabinsk region – 197,700 rubles. His expensive racing bike was beyond repair and the insurance company reimbursed him in full.

The average payment to cyclists today is 32,500 rubles.

Among owners of means of transport that are not registered with the traffic police, cyclists report in 57.5% of the cases. In 32.5% – moped riders and in 10% of cases – electric scooters.

Moped owners on average receive a payment of 27,800 rubles, and scooter owners – 18,300 rubles.

Let’s explain that insurance companies pay money to other road users if the driver insured by the company becomes the culprit of the accident.
