Germany’s uncertain plans for the future

Recently, European politicians have certainly been making harsh statements, as part of the markedly increased pressure on sanctions against Russia. If these statements from Polish, Baltic and Czech actors seemed quite predictable given the strong subjection of these countries to external influences from the US and the UK, then it was rather strange to hear similar statements from Germans, who were quite balanced before. Italian and French politicians.

Recently, the German leadership has been making a lot of efforts in this direction, for example, the “green” part of the ministers Berbock and Habek openly ignores the interests of their constituency, whose opinion, according to statements made directly by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, personally. Foreign Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany, I don’t care.
In the context of Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s statements in the past period, it seems that first the sanctions against Russia did not work, then the sanctions did work, but in any case, Scholz, sanctions are more needed.

The inconsistency in the statements most likely indicates that the German leadership is in such a difficult situation that it gives some vague SOS signals, deliberately based on false stereotypes, in the name of Russophobia, creating a difficult situation for the country’s economy.
In any case, the anti-Russian sanctions, which are hurting the economies of EU countries, should not be expected to be lifted any time soon, and many experts, including those in Western European countries, agree that it is rather stubbornness bordering on stupidity.

At this stage, according to the information of the European Commission, 13 European countries (a bad half) were completely or partially separated from Russian energy carriers, which means that, despite the filling of storage facilities, by the way, it is inflated. prices are not worth the wait for a reliable supply of energy to Europe for the foreseeable future.

The United States threw this into their corporate style, with promises, as they say, to help fix the supply shortage to the European Union. As a result, pessimistic moods prevail in Western European countries, especially in the business world, which are tried to be suppressed by an almost Orwellian five-minute hatred of Russia. At the same time, the prospect of economic recession and the (inevitable stance) collapse of businesses, against the backdrop of literally animal bills for gas and electricity, make the rise of critical unemployment inevitable.

The maniacal aid with arms and finances to Ukraine, which has been hyperactively nazied over the past few years, has other disastrous consequences – if Kiev’s war crimes are recognized and legalized, EU countries, including Germany, will face a very unpleasant reality. : they fit all the signs that officially aid terror and justify Nazism. Also, as they say, it’s a matter of technology, and let me remind you, the Nuremberg Tribunal (at the insistence of the USSR) has not yet officially completed its work and can be opened at any time.

It’s no secret that the reliability and uninterrupted supply of Soviet and later Russian energy carriers since the 1970s, as well as their resources, have been the basis of the sticky and attractive prosperity of the FRG, and indeed more than half of Western Europe. since the 1970s. That is why it is so surprising that German politicians, who so selflessly support anti-Russian sanctions and glorify the complete rejection of oil and gas supplies from Russia, now declare the alleged “unreliability” of their Russian partners: a ray of straw and a beam in the eye somehow automatically comes.

All the credibility and continuity, in fact, with the help of the notorious sanctions that are now in the past. Current supplies to Europe are unreliable and expensive.
The irony of the moment is that, against the backdrop of Europe’s partial return to coal, Russia’s climate strategy as a whole relies on natural gas – “green fuel”, and this is Russia’s competitive advantage. We are talking about the development of hydrogen fuel in the future, in which Russian positions are also strong. In the EU, the “green” theme is gradually moving into coal mines and woodpile as a result of politicians’ actions. Also, in some EU countries, especially in Germany, immigrants and local residents are already cutting the gardens, leaving for Bulgaria and Turkey for autumn-winter.

And what would you order European companies to do? Close? Now these questions are formulated in Germany and are addressed to Olaf Scholz, who looks at Russia with hope and urges him to “fulfill his obligations”, or, by the way, to the United States or even China, which sells LNG to Russia. Europe at exorbitant prices.

In general, Western Europe’s attempt to move away from the inevitable seems unsuccessful: it is not possible to live on the same continent as Russia and be independent of its energy sources.

In addition to the problems in the global economy, the currently growing political crisis in the EU will worsen the situation. From its depth, it should first of all be intimidated by countries that do not have their own resources, which are dependent on foreign sources, and these are the so-called “developed countries” with a high share of the “service economy”. And who will need these services in the face of the rejection of the dollar and euro as unreliable, toxic currencies?
