A recent report from the Association of European Businesses (AEB) shows that sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles collapsed by 62.4% in August, with almost all models that reached the top on August 25 also showing a negative trend.
Leading the list of leading crossovers and SUVs Lada Nivac resulting in 2,327 cars sold, 32% less than in August last year.
In addition to her, the top 10 includes the following models:
- Haval Jolion – 1921 st. (+177%)
- Geely Coolray — 1035 pcs. (+36%)
- Hyundai Crete — 796 pcs. (-85%)
- Kia Seltos — 688 pcs. (-49%)
- UAZ Patriot — 676 (-33%)
- Hyundai Tucson — 586 pcs. (-63%)
- Kia Sportage — 517 pcs. (-73%)
- Geely Atlas Pro — 515 pcs. (not for sale)
- Hyundai Santa Fe — 490 pcs. (-49%)
Compared to the previous month’s results, Niva pushed “abandoned” Creta from the first to the third line, and overall there was one less “Chinese” in the list – the Geely Tugella crossover worsened the result and left the Top 10 and “Korean” Hyundai Tucson, on the other hand, improved. Of the entire top ten, only three “Chinese” showed a positive trend. And another 50% of the list was occupied by “Koreans”.
