A new Chinese Geely crossover is patented in Russia 10:22

A patent for a Geely car sample appeared in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property. reports auto.ru.

“The name of the model was not given, but you can identify the Galaxy E5 crossover from the attached drawings. The portal notes that Geely has not officially announced plans to sell this model in Russia.

Geely started sales Galaxy E5 in the crossover’s home market on August 3, 2024.

The price of the car varies from 112 to 157 thousand yuan (1.3-1.8 million rubles). Galaxy E5 is equipped with a new generation lithium iron phosphate battery, available in two capacities (power reserve – 440 and 530 km) of 49.5 and 60.2 kWh, respectively.

The car’s design elements are reminiscent of a tiger’s face; narrow headlights remind of animal eyes and whiskers on the bumper. Using a solid panel instead of a grille at the front of the body reduced the friction coefficient.
