Sales of the all-wheel drive GAZ Sobol NN 4×4 model have started in Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Group of Companies “Modern Transport Technologies” (GC “STT”). For now, the car will be offered in all-metal van and combi versions.
The minimum price of an all-metal Sobol NN 4×4 minibus is 3.6 million rubles, and a combi minibus is 3.7 million rubles.
The new product has a rigidly connected front axle, a reduction gear and a cross-axle differential lock. The transfer case is a completely new internal development. The car is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbo diesel engine producing 150 horsepower. and a six-speed manual transmission.
The cabin is equipped with air conditioning and a media system with a 9-inch screen. The driver’s seat is spring-loaded and can be adjusted in 18 directions.
The car will be a competitor to the UAZ SGR model, nicknamed “Loaf”.

In particular, the Pro family trucks are expected to switch to diesel engines in 2025. This applies to both the rear-wheel drive “Truck” truck and the all-wheel drive version. It is also planned to start installing a new manual transmission on the Patriot SUVs. Later, a restyled version of the Patriot is planned to be released.
As of August 2024, UAZ sold about 3 thousand vehicles in Russia, 45% of which were from the SGR (“Loaf”) family.
