Truck sales in Russia decreased by 32.6% in August compared to the same month in 2023, reports analytical agency “Avtostat”.
While 10.9 thousand new trucks were sold in Russia in August, this figure broke a historical record with 16 thousand trucks sold in the same month of the previous year.
In August, the Chinese brand Sitrak took first place in truck sales with 1.77 thousand units sold. It is followed by the domestic KamAZ with 1.67 thousand vehicles sold. They are followed by the Chinese Shacman, Dongfeng and FAW. They sold 1.59 thousand, 1.05 thousand and 936 trucks in August, respectively.
By the end of eight months of 2024, 82.8 thousand new trucks were sold in Russia, which is 10.1% less than in the period from January to August 2023.
