Russian car market ranked fifth in Europe 08:37

In June 2024, the Russian car market retained the fifth place in the European championship. In this regard reports analytical agency “Avtostat”.

Germany ranks first in car sales in Europe. In November, 297,329 cars were sold there (+6.1% compared to the same month in 2023). France ranks second with 181,712 cars (-4.8%). The third result was shown by Great Britain, with 179,263 cars sold (+1.1%). This is followed by Italy, where dealers sold 160,04 cars (+15.2%).

Russia ranks fifth in the ranking. Car sales as of the end of June 2024 reached 124,394 units (+50.9%).

It happened before that knownIt was stated that the cost of purchasing new and used cars for Russians in the first half of 2024 will be 6.93 billion rubles.

Russians spent only 37% of this amount (2.59 billion rubles) on new cars. The total market capacity in 2023 was 12.64 trillion rubles, but new cars accounted for only 27% of this amount, or 3.37 billion rubles.
