The former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga region will be put into operation again on August 1 this year. In this respect reported the primary trade union organization of the enterprise in the social network VKontakte.
“Today, a plant-wide meeting was held where the plant management announced the long-awaited restart of production from August 1, 2024. More than 500 workers will work in the first phase. You will have to work three shifts simultaneously,” says the publication.
It was noted that if the project is successfully implemented, the headquarters will be expanded, but they plan to do this before November. The organization also emphasized that it is planned to hire former employees who were laid off as new employees first.
