Russian company Rteam introduced its new video hosting platform “Platform”, positioned as a new competitor to YouTube. The presentation took place in the media center of the Regional Public Center for Internet Technologies. TASS.
In the Russian market, there are already analogues of the American platform such as RuTube, VK Video and others, but the Platform offers an interface and functionality as close as possible to YouTube.
The service is equipped with a recommendation system, promotion and analytics tools for bloggers. Videos are available in resolutions up to 4K and support subtitles with recognition of Russian and English languages. According to Rteam CEO Andrey Talyzin, the platform is capable of processing up to 240 thousand requests per second.
It is stated that the platform also offers a short video format similar to YouTube Shorts. The service also provides a content moderation system that will restrict material that violates Russian laws and contains anti-Russian rhetoric.
It was not stated when the service will be available to users.
