In May, the weighted average cost of a new passenger car in Russia for the first time in a long time fell – to 2.8 million rubles. In this respect reports “Autostat”.
According to the agency, the weighted average price of a car in July last year was 3 million rubles. It was at approximately the same level for 10 months and reached its maximum (3.9 million rubles) in March. But then the figure started to drop.
Analysts believe that the decrease in weighted average cost is due to the change in the sales structure of new passenger cars. Thus, while the share of economical vehicles in the market has increased recently, the share of expensive and very expensive cars has decreased.
Before that AvtoVAZ raised Prices of two Lada models. Thus, the Granta sedan in the Comfort’24 Plus configuration has become 50 thousand rubles more expensive. The increase compared to the previous price was 4.1%. The Granta cable car in the Club’24 version began to cost 30 thousand rubles more (+2.3%).
By the way, the price of the Lada Niva Travel SUV in the Comfort ’24 configuration dropped by 7 thousand rubles (-0.5%). However, in the Black’24, KHL’24 and Luxe’24 trim levels, the price of the car increased by 23 thousand rubles (+1.5-1.6%).
