“No specialist or detailing center will guarantee quality if metal body parts already have nicks or nicks. Minor damage left untreated will eventually lead to corrosion and further destruction of the part. A bubble may also form in this place as air will remain under the film. In the future, due to washing, rain or head wind, the film here may begin to separate. “It doesn’t matter which one you choose: cheaper vinyl or expensive polyurethane,” the expert said.
According to Kukarin, to avoid problems, a chipped part must first be painted and given the ideal “factory” appearance. Another more economical option if there are only a few chips: using a special applicator, you can fill the defect with paint and cover it with a drop of diluted varnish on top.
The part is then ground and treated with abrasive. However, if there are a lot of sawdust, you cannot do without painting the item completely before wrapping it in film.
