Avtodom automobile holding will begin producing cars under its own brand at the former Mercedes plant MB Rus Manufacturing in Yesipovo, Moscow Region. In this respect he is writing RBC, citing the general director and co-owner of the company Andrei Olkhovsky.
“We plan to produce cars under our own brand. “Today we definitely plan to launch a single brand, and subsequent actions will depend on sales, capacity utilization of the business and the partners we will continue to attract in the development of our project,” he said.
Olkhovsky added that the plant wants to produce up to eight models. Moreover, according to him, the business has already been restarted and is currently carrying out test assembly of the machines. Olkhovsky emphasized that all the necessary work for the launch of the car is planned to be completed this year.
The other day at the old Mercedes factory perceived Group of Chinese premium crossovers. According to media reports, the enterprise has about 50 Li Auto cars on its territory. It was noteworthy that the company, noting that the facility was used as a warehouse, did not officially approve its production. Sources also stated that the facility plans to produce not only Exeed cars but also other brands of cars.
The production capacity of the automobile factory, which opened in the spring of 2019 in the Esipovo industrial park, is designed to produce 25-30 thousand cars per year. Avtodom dealer holding became owner in April 2023.
