It is stated that such thefts can also be committed by local homeless people. They cut thick copper cables from chargers and sell them at non-ferrous metal collection points. The images show that a number of Tesla chargers remain wireless.
Before that, Lithuanian customs authorities detained Two copies of Tesla Cybertruck electric vehicles allegedly imported illegally to Russia via Belarus. The cars were stopped at the Shalcininkai checkpoint on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border. The fate of the detained vehicles remains unclear. The reason for the detention is related to existing sanctions that ban the supply of cars to Russia in quantities exceeding 50 thousand units. A similar restriction was introduced for Belarus by Poland, Latvia and Lithuania in March this year.
