“China’s automobile exports to Russia are increasing steadily. “Cars of Chinese brands are increasingly loved by Russian consumers due to their excellent quality and advantages associated with the price/quality ratio,” said the ambassador.
According to him, China exported nearly 900 thousand cars to Russia in 2023, and the volume of goods trade in the first quarter reached 56.68 billion dollars, an increase of 5.2% compared to the same period last year.

The average cost of second-hand crossovers and SUVs from Chinese manufacturers increased by 96.7% annually, reaching 2.5 million rubles. In the first quarter of this year, Geely is the leader in sales among Chinese brands in the second-hand crossover segment with a 26.6% share, Chery ranks second with 18.8%, while Lifan closes the top three with 9.5%. Brands LiXiang, Great Wall, Haval, Changan, Voyah, Zeekr and Exeed were also included in the rating.
The most popular second-hand SUVs in China include Geely Monjaro, followed by Chery Tiggo (T11), Geely Coolray, LiXiang L7 and LiXiang L9.
