NAMI equates the localization of Aurus limousines to mass models from AvtoVAZ 09:59

Localization of production of premium Russian Aurus cars is currently about 90%. In this respect reports TASS, citing the deputy director of the project “Unified Modular Platform” of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “NAMI” Alexander Lebedev.

“Today, the localization of the production of these cars and their component base in Russia is at the level of mass production of AvtoVAZ, plus or minus 90%,” Lebedev said.

The Aurus Senat executive sedan was presented in late spring 2021, the model was put into series production at the Ford Sollers plant in Yelabuga. At the end of November 2022, production of the Aurus Komendant SUVs was launched here. The car received nine exterior color options and seven types of interior trim. It is equipped with a V8 engine producing 598 hp. twin turbocharged.

Mass production of the extended version of the Aurus Senat could begin in 2025. A partition will be placed inside the cabin and there will be two separate seats at the back.
