“Actually, a lot of cars were imported last year, but they are actively sold, so there is about a month left until the end of sales. Thus, before the beginning of May, the main part (about 90%) will be sold,” thinks auto expert and auto blogger Sergei Loginov.
Alexey Podshchekoldin, head of the Russian Association of Automobile Dealers (ROAD), also believes that warehouses will be empty until May, after which sales of cars produced in 2024 will begin at completely different prices.
Associate Professor Pyotr Shcherbachenko from the Financial University of the Government of the Russian Federation is sure that there is no excess supply in warehouses at the moment.
“The volume of warehouse stocks is decreasing at an increasing pace, and active sales will not last more than a few months, there will be no more pleasant discounts. “For this reason, we should expect the warehouses to be completely emptied or all stocks to be sold by May this year,” he said.
