The authorities of the Nizhny Novgorod region banned the employment of foreigners engaged in such activities in taxis on the basis of patents. In this respect says in the text of the decree of the regional government.
“Imposition for 2024 of a ban on the employment of foreign citizens engaged in labor activities based on patents in the following types of economic activity by commercial organizations operating in the Nizhny Novgorod region: <...> The decision includes the activities of passenger taxis and chauffeur-driven rental cars.
It is now stated that commercial organizations must lay off all foreign workers within the next three months at the latest. The decision will enter into force 10 days after it is officially published.
Before that, Samara region officials prohibited Work of immigrants in the field of education and in the provision of transport services. The restrictions also affected recruitment agencies. The regional government added that regional governor Dmitry Azarov instructed law enforcement agencies to strictly monitor the implementation of the decision.
