It is noted that earlier videos were posted on Telegram in which the girl owner of BAIC U5 Plus actually talks about the numerous problems that arise during the operation of a new car. After purchasing the new car, the all-round camera system, audio system and traction control failed. Then the windshield exploded.
“Currently, the ABS malfunction in the customer’s vehicle has been completely resolved and the multimedia system has been Russified. It seems that the problem with the operation of the touch screen was caused by severe frosts in January. “Currently, according to the customer, the multimedia system is working perfectly,” he said.
BAIC U5 Plus sedans are offered in Russia at prices starting from 1.7 million rubles for a car with a 1.5 engine with 113 hp. and five-speed manual transmission. The cost of the version with CVT is 1.8 million rubles. The basic Luxury package includes 16-inch alloy wheels, halogen headlights, multimedia system with 12.3-inch screen, rear view camera and rear parking sensors, digital instrument panel, air conditioning, two airbags, etc. is available.
The cars are assembled at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad. The components of the machines are supplied from BAIC (Beijing Automotive Group) factories in China.
