Sales of cars under the Solaris brand started in the Russian market. This was stated in a press release received by the editors of socialbites.ca.
It was noted that the Solaris brand series includes Solaris HS, Solaris HC, Solaris KRS and Solaris KRX models and will be sold through AGR LLC’s dealer network.
Solaris HS is a five-seater sedan with a length of 4405 mm. The car is equipped with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine producing 100 hp. or a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 123 hp.
The Solaris HC crossover will be available in both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive versions. Engines – 1.6 and 2.0 liters with a power of 123 and 150 hp. respectively.
The Solaris KRS sedan and Solaris KRX cross-hatchback are equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter gasoline engine producing 123 hp.
The automobiles were manufactured in St. Petersburg, which was renamed AGR Automobile Factory. It will be produced at the former Hyundai automobile plant in St. Petersburg.
The general director of the AGR Automobile Plant is Alexey Kalitsev. He previously held senior positions at Hyundai Motor CIS and was responsible for the development strategy of the Hyundai and Genesis brands in Russia.
