Assembly of UAZ Patriot SUVs, Profi trucks and commercial vehicles of the SGR family is planned to be carried out in Cuba, reports “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” with reference to its own sources.
According to him, the distributor of UAZ in Cuba, Echo-Export, signed a memorandum of understanding with the local enterprise EISA on the creation of an international trade association for the assembly of UAZ Patriot SUVs and SGR cars (which also includes the “loaf”). The legal formalities for this project are planned to be completed in December, after which the delivery of equipment and machinery kits will begin.
A similar association, in partnership with UIM, another Cuban company, is expected to be established in the first quarter of 2024. According to preliminary information, UAZ Profi production should start.
