Two more countries banned the entry of vehicles with Russian license plates 09:46

Authorities in Croatia and France banned the entry of cars from Russia. In this respect report Izvestia cites the German government’s response to Evgeniy Schmidt, a Bundestag member of the Alternative for Germany party.

More recently, French officials said they had no plans to ban cars from Russia. Evgeny Shmidt believes that the list of states that impose sanctions on vehicles with Russian license plates may be expanded in the near future.

On September 10, the European Union banned Russian imports of personal cars, smartphones and cosmetics, as they were considered imports. Restrictions also include trailers and semi-trailers used to transport precious stones, toilet paper, shampoos, toothpastes, goods, yachts and cameras.

European Commission Representative Daniel Sheridan Ferry statedEuropean Union countries need to decide independently what to do with goods that have entered their territory from Russia, including cars.
