From August 1 to August 15, against the background of the introduction of new recycling fee rates, 13 car companies immediately raised their car prices in Russia. There have been no such large-scale price increases since May 2022, informs analytical agency “Avtostat”.
Prices for Moskvich cars increased the most (more than 10%), the increase amounted to 228-392 thousand rubles. A few brands have also increased prices for their entire product line. The price of Chery cars increased by 60 thousand rubles (from 1.2% to 2.9%). BAIC and Kaiyi increased prices by an average of 4%, Omoda cars became more expensive by 1.6% – 2.3% and FAW – 1.6% – 7%.
In the first half of August, the Changan company increased the price of 10 out of 14 models presented on the Russian market. Depending on the model, prices increased by 70-320 thousand rubles (from 3.4% to 8.2%). Geely (from 0.9% to 2.7%) and JAC (from 1.1% to 1.6%) increased prices for all three models. The price of a model has increased in the GAC, Great Wall and Haval lines.
