Green Card insurance certificates issued in Russia for the civil liability insurance of drivers traveling abroad expired on 1 June 2023 in the European Union, England and Switzerland. In this respect informs TASS with reference to the Russian Association of Motor Insurers (RSA).
According to RAMI, on June 1, the respective bilateral agreements ended. When traveling to EU countries, the UK and Switzerland, Russian drivers will need to purchase a border insurance policy at the checkpoints of the respective countries. Similarly, drivers from these countries will be forced to post a Russian OSAGO policy when entering Russia.
Certificates issued in Russia continue to be valid for travels to other countries where Green Card is valid, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Serbia and Turkey.
It was previously known in Russia elongated Simplified technical regulations for automobile production.
